Brian H. Murphy, Founder and President

Mr. Murphy has ten years of commodity valuation and risk management experience with Constellation Energy Group’s principal investment division. During his time at Constellation, Mr. Murphy worked in deal origination, proprietary trading, and portfolio management.  His expertise includes contract creation and negotiation, transaction valuation, and principal risk management in both liquid and illiquid markets. Mr. Murphy has negotiated international, cross-commodity transactions, and managed a business portfolio with $4 billion in annual revenues and $20 million in daily value-at-risk.

Mr. Murphy holds a BA, with Honors, in Economics from the University of Maryland, and an MBA, with a major in Finance, from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. He is a member of Fourth Presbyterian Church, and lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland, with his wife and their three young children.
